The
National Airsoft Event 2008 Somerley
Estate, Ringwood, Hampshire
On behalf of myself and all the staff and marshals at Ground Zero's 2008 National Weekend Event, I would like to thank all the players who attended, making it one of the most enjoyable events we have had the pleasure of hosting so far. The attitude of the attendees was excellent, as was the manner in which the game was played with the camaraderie between the three teams almost unbelievable at times. Players from all sides should be proud to have taken part in such an honourable game with some of the best airsoft I have seen. My only regret is that it doesn't last longer so that we could meet more of you during the social times, but with 1213 people as the official attendance, it would have been a hard task to complete.
As promised work at Ground Zero will be starting soon to keep making site improvements for the event next year (28th, 29th and 30th August 2009) and, if everything goes to plan, we will be using a new idea to feed information back into the war zone to make players more aware of what is happening.
I would also like to thank Leo and his team from Mil-force for attending the event, and we hope to see them there in future years.
We also extend our thanks to ICS, Kings Arms, Viper, Abbey and again Mil-force for their generosity in supplying us with the prizes for the raffle draw.
Regardless of the final scores, everyone at the event was a winner!
We Hope to See You All Next Year,
H, The Staff and The Marshals

Last year in 2007, we made
history by hosting what was the largest airsoft event ever
held in the history of UK airsoft, with an official attendance
of 1011 players from all over England, Scotland, Wales,
Ireland, France and Belgium.
This year, 2008, we hope to beat the record again and offer
you even more gaming and social activity on and off the
battlefield.
We've planned a cracking holiday break for you and your
fellow airsoft buddies, whether you are from Glasgow, Belfast,
Paris, or just down the road.
Ground Zero is all about giving you a great weekend that
you will be talking about for many months, if not years
to come. Our focus is on giving you a fantastic experience
- and that starts in the safe zone with a friendly, clean
and fully facilitated atmosphere which ultimately spreads
onto the 'battlefield' where you will be free to choose
what you do, and where you go to do it. It is our special
style of airsoft gameplay that makes people want to come
back time and time again.
If you are interested in being part of this years largest
airsoft gathering take a look around this website, where
you will be able to find everything you need to know about
what Ground Zero is all about, and what's planned for the
2008 national game.
